Four tracks produced through editing and manipulating recordings of an old, crackly vinyl record played through second-hand, low-cost, lo-fi analog gear. Like the record in use, the four tracks of For Sure recall the wonder and awe of the UK coastline, but through their coarseness, noise and ailing pitch, equally give a feeling of forgetfulness, neglect and loss, and the unease such feelings induce. The EP is the outcome of intensive, near-to-improvised, cathartic work by its author, MK Green who produced the EP in under two days within COVID-19 lockdown in the UK. The EP recalls and is very much inspired by the work of artists such as Philip Jeck and Jan Jelinek.
